Welcome to the November 2018 edition of CKT
Who doesn’t love a book launch? Last month I was fortunate to attend Sue Whiting’s and Robert Vescio’s book launches.
It’s great to be able to attend launches and see how other authors and illustrators bring their book babies to life for readers. You can learn so much by watching their techniques and how they capture the attention of their audience.
Robert’s launch was particularly special as it was the first time I met my publishers, Peter and Kathy Creamer from Little Pink Dog Books. Kathy was also the illustrator of Robert’s book, Bigger Than Yesterday, Smaller Than Tomorrow.
With other LPDB authors joining in the celebration you might say it was a real family affair.

I’m looking forward to seeing Kathy and Peter Creamer at the launch of my upcoming picture book, In the Shadow of an Elephant. To be launched by Jacqueline Harvey at the Creative Kids Tales Writers’ Festival, 6 April 2019 at The Tradies, Gymea.
The 2019 Creative Kids Tales Writers’ Festival is selling out fast. Only 35 seats are remaining! Scroll down to find out how you can secure a ticket. But you’ll need to be quick.
My picture book, Lulu, has been shared with thousands of children on air and via the Kinderling app.
Thanks to the fantastic support from the Kinderling Kids team Lulu also appears on the Settle Petal playlist with Qantas and Jetstar.
To celebrate Lulu's amazing journey with Kinderling Kids Radio, I'm giving two lucky winners a Lulu prize pack. Including an author signed copy of my picture book, Lulu and a Lulu plush toy.
