Welcome to Creative Kids Tales - One More Page Podcast crew!
So, who are 'the crew'?
The One More Page Podcast is presented by Sydney based trio, Kate Simpson, Liz Ledden and Nat Amoore.
Between them they organise guest interviews, write scripts, record and edit episodes, review books, source prizes, and manage the website and social media pages - all in their spare time.
Kate Simpson is a children's author whose picture book, 'Finding Granny', made its debut in 2018 published by EK books. Her second picture book will be released in 2019 by Allen and Unwin. Kate has two children, a full time job and loves loves loves reading!
Liz Ledden also has a picture book ready to burst onto the scene, with Ford Street Publishing. She has been honing her craft for many years, from her BA in Writing and Literature, to workshops and online courses, all whilst collecting a series of awards from organisations such as Writers’ Unleashed, CYA and Greenleaf Press. Liz has travelled extensively, writing and blogging for various travel companies and magazines, as well as enjoying one of her passions, good food and coffee.
Last but not least is Nat Amoore. Nat is a passionate author, film maker, editor, former trapeze artist and more. She loves kids, kid books and everything that involves doing kids things! Nat has studied writing via the Australian Writer's Centre, and Writing NSW, and was the recipient of CBCA Maurice Saxby Creative Development Program for 2018. Nat's debut middle grade will be released in June 2019 by Penguin Random House, with a second to follow!
Launched in February 2018, One More Page is a family friendly podcast for lovers of kids’ books comprising book reviews, an interview with a member of the children’s book industry, competitions and 'Kids Capers' - a kids-led segment with Nat.
After only seven episodes, the podcast was well underway, winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ category for the 2018 Australian Podcast Awards. Recorded at the NSW Writers’ Centre, it is currently self-funded, with prizes donated from various sources across the industry, and even their audience. One More Page focuses on picture books through to middle grade, and has gained a listenership of writers, illustrators, publishers, teachers, parents and of course, kids! There is also the occasional fart joke…
