Paul was born in England, raised in New Zealand and immigrated to Australia in 1972. He lives with his partner, fellow author, Meredith Costain and a menagerie of pets including a kelpie called Jack and Molly, a red heeler.
Apart from being a highly successful author and rock to many of his contemporaries in the industry, Paul is also the Publisher with Ford Street Publishing.
Ford Street Publishing is a company he started and has worked hard to ensure it's the force it is today. Paul strongly believes in nurturing Australian talent and has selflessly dedicated his time to ensuring children continue to be challenged and entertained by their reading choices.

Creative Net has been set up to facilitate author and illustrator participation in schools, libraries, conferences and festivals, without the cost of paying a speaker's agency a fee.
All you need do is choose one of the authors or illustrators listed, give them your preferred date for their appearance and they will confirm details with the requested speaker. Once the date is set, they will put you in direct touch with the author or illustrator concerned.
