Sharna Carter
Sharna is a children’s author, mum, teacher and self-certified bookaholic! Her debut picture book, Watermelon Pip is being published by Ethicool Books and available for pre-order in September 2020 at ethicoolbooks.com. Sharna has also had three stories chosen and published across two Anthologies, ‘It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Chritsmas,’ and ‘Spooktacular Stories: Thrilling Tales for Brave Kids,’ with proceeds going towards charity initiatives.
With a background in Drama, it’s no wonder Sharna loves visiting pre-schools and primary schools to read stories and conduct workshops. She has a current VIT Registration, which includes a Working with Children Card.
Sharna loves to be silly and to make others laugh but she is serious about her writing. She regularly attends KidLit conferences, works closely with her CKT Critique Group, enters writing competitions and has completed a number of writing courses including; AWC Writing Picture Books, Scribbles Creating Writing Course, Metre Matter: Rhyming Course and the AWC Writing Chapter Books for 6-9 year olds.
Sharna is passionate about children’s literature and her stories encourage laughter, reflection and self-belief.
