Lynelle Kendall is a poet and storyteller. She never goes anywhere without her notebook and pen, so the ideas spinning around her head often manage to escape onto paper.
Lynelle believes that children are the best judges when it comes to stories, and if they find one they love they will want to read it over and over again. That’s the kind of story she aspires to write.
As a childcare educator, Lynelle is inspired by the achievements, struggles, and celebrations of the children around her. Weaving imagination and creativity with the events of everyday life, her characters find adventure, magic and fun in even the most ordinary situation.
Her work has been featured in several magazines, including The School Magazine, and online at www.AustralianChildrensPoetry.com.

In addition to writing picture books, fairy tales, poems, short stories and songs, Lynelle enjoys rediscovering books from her childhood in op shops, playing guitar and going camping.
