Susan Hili lives in the beautiful Blue Mountains. She is semi-retired and has time now to explore her passion; writing children’s stories – inspired by her two granddaughters.
Writing has given her an excuse to escape to her childhood, which was full of wonderful adventures. Susan’s first short story: The Creepy School House was chosen for online publication by kids’ book review (KBR) short stories (The Hub).
Susan’s fascination for the quirky unknown, developed when she was a child. She is now ready for the next step; writing novels for children, who are interested in spooky tales – with a twist.
A mother of three and grandmother of five, she has had plenty of experience observing children. She’s particularly interested in what they like to read. Recently she has completed an online course with Australian Writer’s Centre (AWA) Writing for Children and Young Adults. Also completed a writing course at the local community college.
Susan is dedicated to her writing and is looking forward to finishing her first Children’s novel.
