One Rule For Jack by Sally Morgan
Published by Scholastic Australia
Jack has one rule to live by. When your parents ask you to do something, do it badly. Doing it badly, certainly hasn’t let him down, until now. When he tries to sweep the leaves on the patio badly by breaking the broom, his mum has a solution to vex Jack even further.
And when he tries to mop badly, a very unfortunate toilet incident follows and Jack finds himself cleaning the kitchen floor with a toothbrush.
Poor Jack. Will he ever get to Thommo’s house to play? Well not if all his doing things badly, keep turning out for his parents and grandparents benefit. The tale gets more hilarious, the more Jack tries to do things badly.
Another rib tickling instalment of Jack’s unfortunate antics, with a high dose of toilet humour and Craig Smith’s endearing illustrations, making this a perfect read for a reluctant boy, and or girl reader aged 5-7 who doesn’t mind a bit of gross here and there.
