Alice Miranda in Paris by Jacqueline Harvey
Published by Random House Australia
The latest instalment in the Alice Miranda series is a must pick up. Promising to be "Tres chic sightseeing, singing and fashion!", it delivers, with added rewards.
The story follows the much loved character of Alice Miranda as she travels to Paris with her school band to play a special concert at fashion week. There is plenty of mystery as the search for a missing ream of fabric intensifies before opening night.
It wouldn't be Paris without a dash of love thrown in and the kids go to enormous lengths to throw two of their favourite teachers together. It is great to see continuing story lines from the previous books popping up too, so those that are true fans can feel part of the ongoing journey.
Suitable mainly for 8-12 year old girls, with a few strong boy character leads, as well as fashion, passion and mystery Alice Miranda is sure to tick all the right boxes.
