Happy Pants (Why is Mum so sad) written by Heather Gallager & Illustrated by Liz McGrath
Published by Wombat Books
When everything is well, mum wears her HAPPY pants and life is fun. But after the baby comes, mum puts her happy pants away. Her little boy learns that Daddy’s and Grandma can give love and fun times too, and all together they can help mummy until she feels like putting her happy pants back on.
Now, I love love love books that are not only great stories by themselves, but also open up the doors for conversations, and this book does JUST that! PND (post natal depression) is still one of those things that people don’t talk about openly, why I don’t know… but this book is a perfect tool to help open up those lines of communication. Five fairy stars from me!
