Paw Prints and the Itchy Spots by Sarah Mounsey & Illustrated by Jade Fang
Published by Brindal Books
Previously on Creative Kids Tales, we have reviewed Sarah’s two other books in the Paw Prints series, Purple Paw Prints and Paw Prints on the Magic Sofa.
Paw Prints and the Itchy Spots is a delicious continuation of the misadventures of Eddie, Oscar and William.
Eddie is covered in spots. How did they get there? Is his furry four legged friend Oscar the cause?
Always full of ideas, William knows just what to do. And although his imaginative methods relieve the situation temporarily they cause more of a mess than a solution.
William tries everything you can imagine, and some of you won't to get rid of Eddie's spots, even enlisting the help of the local fire brigade. You may remember these helpful characters from a previous Paw Prints adventure.
Before too long Mum is on the case and she comes up with some very imaginative ways to stop Eddie's itchy spots.
Jade Fang’s illustrations compliment Sarah Mounsey's story bringing together a fresh, clean adventure that kids will both enjoy and be enchanted by.
My resident experts, Charlotte (8) and Amy (3) can’t get enough of this book. I’m just waiting for Amy to paint on some spots to have her own Eddie adventure. Congrats to Sarah and Jade!
For the adults reading to their children or grandchildren, they will find familiarity with Eddie and William’s latest conundrum. Eddie's itching and twitching are sure to bring back memories from childhood.
