Purple Paw Prints by Sarah Mounsey and illustrated by Jade Fang
There’s nothing children like more than reading about other children being daringly outrageous! Let’s face it, painting your dog purple is definitely pretty outrageous and requires some serious problem solving, as Eddie discovers when he does the deed and isn’t sure how to return Oscar to his original colour before Mum and Dad find out. Oscar romps through the story, obviously enjoying the adventure, as will children when they read this book.
This is such a fun picture book, beautifully written by Sarah Mounsey and with vibrant illustrations by Jade Fang. So vibrant in fact that I lingered at the pet shop pages for some time trying to decide which dog I would choose!
Purple Paw Prints is a great book to read out loud to a child or a group of children. However, it’s probably a good idea to make sure there are no unsuspecting dogs or pots of paint around when you do.
