It’s about a boy who has a nickname of “Chook” because when he was little someone called him “Chicken”. His real name is Simon, his brother is called Ricky and his Dad is an airline pilot.
Chook has a friend called Eddie Two Hats who is a busker who they walk past each day on the way to school. Today Eddie looked sick.
Chook and his brother get ukuleles as presents from their Dad. Chook needs to tune it. He will ask Eddie.
An ambulance had taken Eddie away as Chook was on his way school.
Chook wants to help Eddie by busking on Eddie’s corner on Saturday. He looks on the Internet to see how to tune and play the ukulele. Chook practices but he’s not very good and he’s scared of performing.
He goes to Eddie’s corner on Saturday and it was very busy. Eddie came back and saw Chook finish playing. Chook was glad to see him and gave him his ukulele.
