Ickypedia by Matt Kelly
Published by Penguin Books Australia
Ickypedia is a dictionary, just with gross definitions, such as explosean, (the person who invented explosions) musick (when you come across music that makes you feel sick) and more!
I personally think Ickypedia is pretty funny and entertaining, with heaps of definitions to craze your friends about! It’s smart in a way as well, but I’m not the biggest fan of gross stuff.
Some of my favourite definitions are…
Souperstition: To have a feeling you’re not going to like what’s in the soup you’ve been given.
EwwwTube: The Internet’s most disgusting site.
These are just two of the many definitions in this book; it goes from A-Z with disgusting definitions!
I also think this was fun because it was a different type of book to review, and it’s good for anyone who likes gross stuff, or ‘toilet talk’.
In conclusion I think this book is funny, smart and witty. Show your friends, they’ll like it. In some bits it has some older age content that I won’t write… Otherwise this deserves an awesome four stars. Hopefully the Listies will keep making books like this!
