Dear Mum I Love You by Ed Allen
Published by Scholastic Australia
Junior hates taking baths normally, so when bath time turns out to be fun, he writes his mum a letter. With bright and colourful illustration depicting Junior, ( an elephant) and his mum having fun times, accompanied by a letter sleeve that kids can pull out to read the actual letter, this is sure to be a hit with children ages 3-6.
Each page has a new and delightful letter from a weird and wonderful animal,( ie Chameleon, Koala, Monkey, Puffer Fish and Porcupine) telling their mum how much they appreciate them for what they do, or for what they have taught them to do.
I thought Chameleon thanking his mum for teaching him how to hide and seek was heaps of fun, and Koala thanking her mum for finding the juiciest Eucalyptus leaves, but wondering if they ever eat anything else, also hilarious.
My 4 year old really enjoyed this book.
