Scarlet and Ivy: The lost Twin by Sophie Cleverley
Published by HarperCollins Australia
Scarlet and Ivy Grey are twins but are separated when Scarlet wins the entrance exam for Rookwood boarding school. Scarlet goes to Rookwood and Ivy leaves her dad, stepmother and stepbrothers to live with her Aunt Phoebe.
A year later, Ivy is told that Scarlet has died. Ivy is invited to take her place, but she has to act like Scarlet, she has to become Scarlet. Ivy agrees and when she first gets to Scarlets room she looks for Scarlets diary. On the front of the diary there is a note to her from Scarlet saying that she will have to watch out for Miss Fox (the head teacher), Penny and Nadia.
There is also a riddle in Scarlets diary and Ivy goes out at night to search the school for Scarlets hidden diary pages.
Ivy soon makes friends with her roommate Ariadne and tells her who she really is: Ivy Grey not Scarlet Grey. Together they search for Scarlets diary pages and start thinking that maybe Scarlet did not die after all.
To solve the riddle and find out what happed to Scarlet you will have to read this book.
At first I was not going to read this book, the idea scared me and fantasy is not my genre, but I read it anyway and I ended up rating it 7/10. This book would be suitable for girls aged 7-13 who like mystery books.
