Johnny Danger D.I.Y Spy by Peter Millett
Published by Penguin Books Australia
I read Johnny Danger D.I.Y Spy by Peter Millett. The main character in this book is Johnathan Dangerfield who is obsessed with being a pretend spy. He is not a real spy and makes up stories about his spy activities and likes to wear his dad’s old tuxedo. His spy name is Johnny Danger. He is accidentally picked up by MI6 who think he is a real spy and ends up working as a real spy in this book.
This book has some very funny scenes. I really liked the villain Dr Disastrous and his two assistants, 2A and 2B. They are very funny. I laughed out loud. It was also funny that Dr Disastrous had his own special teddy bear.
I thought it was a good book that boys would like to read. I like the gadgets in the story, especially the anagramatrix. Johnny uses it with his spy friend Penelope’s name into “Poop Needs Lumpiness”. For me, thumbs up!
