Alice-Miranda at Camp by Jacqueline Harvey
Published by Random House Australia
Alice-Miranda at Camp is written by Jacqueline Harvey. The story is about the adventures that Alice-Miranda and her schoolmates have at camp. The kids go on treasure hunts, make art, cook and do lots of other activities. When the newest student Caprice gets up to no-good, Alice-Miranda and Millie keep a close eye on her. At the end of camp, the Queen gives a special medal to the best person at camp. Caprice thinks that she will receive the medal. I was so happy when Sep won because he is a much nicer character than Caprice.
My favourite character is Alice-Miranda because she is sweet, kind and never gives up. She is a brave girl because she stands up to Caprice. I learnt lots of new words, some that I had never heard of before.
I loved this book and would definitely recommend it!
