Welcome to Creative Kids Tales
Helping stories come to life.
Creative Kids Tales is an Australian website for emerging children’s authors. Our aim is to be a voice for those authors and help them on their publication journey. We are working hard to provide you with a complete directory of services for your writing reference.
At Creative Kids Tales we know what it’s like to have poured your heart and soul into your work only to get rejection after rejection from publishers. With lots of like minded writers under the one roof we aim to attract publishers to us.
If you have written a poem, short story, long story or picture book for ages 0-12 then CKT is the place for you.
Best of all – it’s free! You won’t be charged to display your work. Creative Kids Tales makes no claim on your entries. You remain the sole owner of your work. How great is that! We take the hassle out of creating your own website. But if you already have one that’s fine too we will include it with your submission. Just go to the How it Works page under the About Us tab to find out how to join.
Our site also offers tips, competition information, upcoming events and interviews with published authors.
- We are not a manuscript assessment service.
- We do not provide feedback or edit your submissions.
- We are a free service for Australian children’s authors seeking additional exposure for their work.
- We assist those who are currently unpublished by mainstream publishers (i.e. self published is ok).
If you have any suggestions about our site, please drop us a line at .
In 2012 Creative Kids Tales proudly partnered with Love2Read to help promote The National Year of Reading. In 2013 we have been invited to partner with them to help promote The Reading Hour campaign. :)
Sharing a book with your child for 10 minutes a day, an hour a week is our aim for The Reading Hour on the 24 August 2013. We know it's not always possible for parents to share a book at bedtime with their children, but if you can manage 10 minutes most nights, your child will have the best chance of becoming a good reader, with all the social and educational benefits that brings.
