In 2013 will you be our Emerging Children's Author of the Year?

To enter all you have to do is be an existing emerging author on our website. It doesn't matter if you have one or several pieces of work under your profile. The voters will choose an author whose work they most enjoy reading. However, having more submissions under your profile will give you a greater chance of being voted for.

Then all you have to do is email us and tell us you would like to be on the voting form. Once you have paid your $15 entry fee all you need to do is get your friends, family or work colleagues to vote for you. The more you promote yourself the more votes you can potentially collect.

So all you need to do before voting opens on 1 September is:

• Be an emerging author on the Creative Kids Tales website.
• Email us advising you would like to be on the voting form.
• Pay the $15 entry fee. It's that simple!

Any emerging authors who register with our website after 1 September will be ineligible to enter this competition. However, you will still be able to be a part of our website and have your own profile.

You must already be an emerging author on our website and pay your competition entry fee to qualify.

Opens: 1 September 2013. (You must be one of our emerging authors prior to the opening date).

Closes: 15 November 2013 at 11.59pm.

Winners will be announced on the Creative Kids Tales website on 1 December 2013.

Prize:

The emerging author who secures the most votes will be awarded the winner. He/she will receive $200 worth of books from Australian Publisher extraordinaire, Ford Street Publishing and $100 cash (to be paid directly into your nominated bank account).

The winner will also be a part of the next Creative Kids Tales National Archives snapshot, to be taken in December. For one full year you will receive exposure on the National Library’s Pandora Archive website.

Entry Fee: $15 (Must be paid prior to 1 Sept to be added to the voting form).

Remember, you're only allowed to vote once, so choose wisely.
