Tracey Christine Haimes is a new author. Her first published book is “The Perfect Tooth.” Tracey was born in Otaki, New Zealand in 1974, Tracey settled in Western Australia in 1990 with her family. Tracey had an interest in the arts from a young age, during her school years and currently as a recreational activity. She found the idea for this book during her Registered Nursing training, on a health promotion practical placement in Western Australia. During this practicum Tracey found it most enjoyable constructing a play on oral hygiene. This in turn gave her the inspiration to turn the play into a book to further promote the importance of oral hygiene to children.
Tracey currently lives in the country setting of Australia working as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. She has travelled to many different countries and in her spare time she enjoys craft, card making and painting, reading and creatively writing books for children.

The Perfect Tooth is a fictional children’s educational picture story book. It takes the reader through the importance of brushing their teeth through animated characters and explanations bedside them. This is done through a series of inspections performed by the Tooth Fairy and her friends. The book highlights the importance of teeth cleaning to children by getting the message across in a fun and humorous way. This book can easily be turned into a play using eight youngsters to act it out. It would be a great resource for parents with young children, day care groups, primary school teachers, dental clinics attached to schools and general dental clinics.
